Privacy Policy for the FFT Spectrogram Music Player App
Last updated: April 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy informs you about how our FFT Spectrogram Music Player app handles your data. Our principle is simple: Your music and data belong to you and remain entirely on your device.
1. Data Collection and Local Storage
We do not collect, store, process, or sell any personal data. All content – including your local music files, audio analysis data (FFT) for visualization, and app settings – is processed exclusively locally on your device. There are no external servers to which your user data is sent, and no hidden trackers.
2. Access to Microphone and Local Music Library
To provide you with the full audio and visualization features of the app, we require access to certain device functions:
- Microphone (for ambient sound visualization): If you activate the microphone visualization, the app accesses the microphone to graphically display ambient sounds in real time. Important: The audio data is used exclusively in volatile memory for the moment of visual calculation. Audio recordings are never saved, stored on devices, or sent to external servers.
- Music Library / Files: The app accesses your local music files to play and visually display them. Here too, there is no upload of your music or your listening behavior.
3. Data Processing by Apple
The app is distributed via the Apple App Store. Apple collects standard anonymized analysis and crash data upon download and use of apps (provided you have explicitly consented to this in your iOS settings). This data does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about you personally and is only made available to us by Apple as general statistics to fix errors. The Apple Privacy Policy applies here.
